By using PrayCraft you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and PrayCraft("we", "us"). Contact: hello@praycraft.co.uk.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use PrayCraft. In the UK, users under 16 need a parent or guardian's consent. By creating an account you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. What PrayCraft is (and isn't)
PrayCraft is a devotional companion to help you learn the vocabulary and rhythms of prayer. It is not:
- Pastoral counselling or spiritual direction.
- Medical, mental-health, or crisis advice. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a helpline such as Samaritans (116 123 in the UK).
- A substitute for a local church, priest, minister or community.
- A source of doctrinal authority.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@praycraft.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for unlawful purposes or to harass others.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.
- Submit content to AI features that is abusive, sexual, extremist, or that seeks to bypass safety measures.
- Use the service to impersonate another person or organisation.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
6. AI-generated content
Reflections, session outlines and daily words generated by the app's AI features are produced by a large language model. They may contain errors, omissions, or theological inaccuracies. Treat them as prompts for your own prayer and study, not as authoritative teaching. Always test against Scripture and your church community.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its lessons, prompts and design are © PrayCraft. Scripture quotations use public-domain translations unless otherwise indicated. You keep ownership of your journal entries, intercession lists, custom moments and anything else you write inside the app; you grant us a limited, revocable licence to store, transmit and process that content solely so we can provide the service to you. That licence ends the moment you clear your data or delete your account.
8. Availability & changes
We aim to keep the service running smoothly but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features, giving reasonable notice where practical.
9. Termination & deletion
You can stop using PrayCraft at any time. The Account screen offers two irreversible actions:
- Clear my data — instantly wipes every journal entry, prayer session, lesson, seal, quest and library completion tied to your account. Your account and preferences remain.
- Delete my account — instantly and permanently deletes your account, profile and every piece of prayer, journal and progress data we hold about you. There is no grace period and the action cannot be reversed. Any residual copies in encrypted backups roll off within 30 days.
We may terminate or suspend access if you materially breach these terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately; sections that by their nature survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of £50 or the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence in accordance with local law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
